OSB board
Oriented strand board (OSB) is a multilayer (mostly 3-layer) sheet consisting of wood chips (thin chips) glued together with various resins with the addition of synthetic wax and boric acid.
In the layers of the plate have a different orientation: in the outer layers - longitudinal, in the inner ones - lateral.
OSB quality parameters:
- OSB boards have the ability to securely attach any fastening materials (screws, nails) very strong and maintain their integrity even under significant external impact.
- This building material has a homogeneous structure, which makes it so resistant to weathering, OSB is moisture resistant and soundproof. Panels of this type have high fire resistance.
- Resistance to sudden temperature changes and mechanical stress;
- Ecological and not harmful (compliance with hygienic class E1);
- Relatively low cost compared to traditional lumber.
The main customers for this material are the construction industry, furniture manufacturers, container manufacturers, the transportation industry and others.
Additional uses of OSB:
- roofing, exterior wall covering, construction of structural elements of low buildings;
- construction and renovation works: floors, ceilings, partitions;
- temporary closure of building openings
- construction of temporary residential buildings
- manufacture of transport crates, pallets
- construction of exhibition stands, shelving, shelves, countertops, etc;
- laying of truck floors, trailers, truck bodies, etc.
